The International Society for Social Pediatrics & Child Health (ISSOP), the International Pediatric Association (IPA) and the International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect (ISPCAN) have been allies working in the field on prevention and amelioration of child abuse, neglect and exploitation for the past few years. We have had direct and indirect relationships coordinating and supporting regional and global learning events over the years with mutual participation in various events. There are clearly shared visions and goals about ending violence against children. This is an early advocacy effort that has come out of this partnership.
The IPA has written an open letter to the Lancet and to the Secretary General UN to Protect Children Of War. IPA has started a campaign #ProtectChildrenOfWar.
